Volunteers packed the house at the California Democratic Party's West LA office to watch the matchup.

The debate reminds us that throughout his entire life, Sen. Obama has been fighting in the ring for working-class families.

Who has McCain been fighting for?

Sen. Obama said it right: "Now, we also have to recognize that this is a final verdict on eight years of failed economic policies promoted by George Bush, supported by Senator McCain..."

Throughout the time that McCain has spent in Washington, he has fought for oil corporations, rich executives, and his pal George W. Bush...

McCain's tax plan would cut taxes for oil companies by nearly $4 billion - includinf $1.2 billion for Exxon.

At a Senate hearing in 2003, McCain said, "I have a long voting record in support of deregulation." [St. Petersburg Times, 6/5/2003]

On the "most important issues of our day, I have been totally in agreement and support of President Bush." [NBC, "Meet The Press," 6/19/05]

...but don't ask McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin, who McCain fights for. When pressed to provide specific examples of McCain's reforms, Palin "seemed stumped". [Washington Post, Kurtz Column, 9/25/2008]

When pressed to provide specific examples of McCain's reforms, Palin "seemed stumped".

yep, many are starting to question mccain's (lack of) judgement...

Fareed Zakaria, a foreign affairs analyst who hosts, "Fareed Zakaria: GPS" on CNN at 1 p.m. ET Sundays says...

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/americas/09/29/zakaria.sarah.palin/index.html

"John McCain did not put country first with his choice (of palin)"

oh really? come'n...ol' john picked to pretty up his ticket.

"This is "hell of a time" for Palin to start thinking about national, global issues"

excuse ol' slick for sliding a little w/age...lapse of judgement...politics 1st, country 2nd.

if this was only saturday nite live it would be funny... sad, so many other other qualified repub women got left wonderin' and thinkin' ... ol' john was only lookin' ??????????????
