Denver-bound! Start your engines . . .

Form A is now available for filing as a district level-delegate to the National Convention in Denver.  That's a lot of Ds!

We tried to make it as easy as possible for you to complete the form online and file it.  You will have to print the form after you have submitted it online and then fax or mail it so we have your signature on file, but otherwise the process should be totally automated.

Yes, you can also print the Form A and fill it out manually, but filing online will save us from having to enter in all your information (big enough hint?).

I am increasingly apprehensive, because the National Convention is just around the corner and we are without a definitive candidate to nominate. This is a godsend for the Republicans. They must be jumping up and down with glee. Early in 2007 it seemed as if a Democratic president would just sail into office. With the glaring divisions within our party, I cannot bear the thought of another Republican administation squeaking through. I have agonized over the issue of electability in the 2008 Presidential race. I don't believe I am a racist, but as a Chinese born in the U.S I have had to take a hard look at what Americans like to believe they are in juxtaposition to our actions. The concept of unification an intoxicating illusion. In order to connect with others we must begin with respecting and embracing beliefs and cultures other than our own. We have to be able to treat others as human beings as opposed to a potential resource. We have to stop paying lip service, going through the motions, take responsibility for the mess we've made, suffer the consequences, apologize for whatever harm we have caused, and work together to make this world a place where people can thrive. We are Democrats. Let's grow some integrity. I believe Mr. Obama is a good man, but the last time I looked this was the U.S. where minorities are treated condescendingly or just dismissed if they do not serve a purpose. I tried to envision a way Mr. Obama could be elected president if pitted against a white anglo saxon male in 2008, but failed. This is not an indictment against him, but of our society and it's fears. My ideal candidate would have Hillary's strength and political savvy, Barak's charisma, Sen Edward's sincerity, and Sen Kucinich's integrity.
Whatever else, we cannot lose this election to another Republican. Our nation faces a plethora of serious challenges that cannot be resolved by continuing to use military force, coercion, and threats or enriching the rich and impoverishing the poor.

No, you make it as difficult as possible to fill out the delegate application form.

In the first place, if you fill out the thing on line, you STILL have to snailmail in your signature. What's with that? We've known how to digitally sign pdf forms for about ten years now. If you allowed an image paste on line, we would be able to insert a true wet signature file into the document.

Please don't get me going about fax. That technology has about creaked to a slow crawl by now.

Second of all, the pdf form you download hasn't even been converted into a fill-in-the-blanks form. Again, we've known how to do that to PDF since the last century. And, if you REALLY need a wet signature (as opposed to a digitally verified signature) you can fill in the form, wet sign it, scan it to a jpg and then re-print it to a pdf and send it.

Isn't it about time to come into this century? I'd be happy to volunteer to show you how.

Jim

The on line process was fine. Just fill out the PDF and print it and mail it. I don't think most users would be able to handle anything more complicated.

With that said, please go to http://gabe4obama.com to find out more about my candidacy for becoming a delegate from the 3rd district.

Thanks,

Gabe

The Democratic Party need to tell Clinton's she needs to close her camp and stop trying to destroy the Democratic Party before she destroy everything for us in the fall. It's all about their ego. The Clinton's are a disgrace to the Democratic Party. They are like little kids in a sand box on the playground. They want the Republicans to take over in November to continue the war she voted for. Senator McCain said when he finishes with her in November Republicans will have the White House.
